The Mahindra Scorpio N, which came out in June 2022 as a generational upgrade, has reached a major production milestone: 19 months after it was first made, the 100,000th unit has been sent out of the Chakan plant. The Scorpio Classic is sold with the Mahindra Scoprio-N, which is the follow-up to the very famous Scorpio.
Design and Changes
The Scorpio N comes in six different styles: Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8, Z8L, and Z8L 6-seater. It gives you seven color options.
Performance and the Powertrain
You can choose between a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine with 200 BHP and 380 Nm of torque and a 2.2-liter diesel engine with 172 BHP and 400 Nm of torque. You can choose between a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gear for both engines. The SUV has all-wheel drive and Mahindra’s 4xplor terrain management system, which has four modes for different types of terrain.
Key Features and Safety
The Scorpio N has a single-pane sunroof, cruise control, an 8-inch touchscreen entertainment system, and dual-zone air conditioning. The driver’s seat can be adjusted in 6 ways.
There are six airbags, electronic stability control, hill-assist control, and a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) for safety.
Costs and Competitors
The Scorpio N costs between Rs 13.60 lakh and Rs 24.54 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It goes up against the Hyundai Creta and Tata Harrier/Safari.
Mahindra just recently changed the list of features for the Scorpio N’s mid-range model. The price of this model also went up in 2023. Mahindra sold 43,068 SUVs in January 2024, which was 31% more than the same month the previous year. Due to high demand, there have been longer wait times for the Scorpio N, which led Mahindra to increase production capacity.
The Scorpio N has been in the news for a number of reasons, such as recalls, feature changes, and crash test safety scores, even though it hasn’t changed much since it was first released.
Mahindra just raised the price of the Scorpio N by as much as Rs. 39,300.
In conclusion, the Mahindra Scorpio N has not only hit a production milestone but also remains a strong competitor in the SUV market thanks to its powerful engine options, feature-packed package, and reasonable pricing even though prices have recently gone up.
