Mahindra Scorpio N Z8 – Mahindra has introduced the Scorpio N Z8 Select variant. It is positioned between the Z6 and Z8 models. This new version, which starts at Rs. 16.99 lakh, has all Scorpio N engines and transmissions except 4WD. The Mahindra Z8 Select will go on sale March 1, 2024, the company said.
Z8 Select is cheaper than Z8 in many aspects. Prices for the Z8 Select start at Rs. 1.66 Lakh less. A new look is given with Z8 trim features such 17-inch dual-tone metal wheels, LED projector fog lamps, and dual-barrel LED headlights with LED daytime running lights. Mahindra adds “Midnight Black” as an exclusive Z8 exterior color.
For the Z8 Select, Mahindra offers petrol and diesel engines. Automatic or manual transmissions are available for each engine. The 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine produces 203 PS and 370Nm/380Nm, while the 2.2-liter diesel engine produces 175 PS and 400 Nm. Only the top-of-the-line Z8L diesel manual and automatic SUVs have 4WD.
The Z8 Select’s cabin is similar to that of the Scorpio N Z8’s. It includes leatherette chairs with black and brown decor. It has connected car tech with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The safety system includes six airbags, ESC, and ISOFIX child seat anchorages. This variant also comes equipped with a sunroof.
Mahindra Scorpio N prices range from Rs. 13.60 Lakh to Rs. 24.54 Lakh (ex-showroom). It competes with monocoque SUVs like the Tata Harrier and Safari and luxury small SUVs like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. It can go off-road and competes with the comfort-focused Mahindra XUV700.
