Dacia is set to unveil an updated version of the Spring EV, which is sold as the Renault Kwid in certain markets including India. Teaser images suggest that the Dacia Spring EV will incorporate design elements from the recently revealed Dacia Duster.
It is expected that the 2024 Spring EV will have slightly larger dimensions, will sport a new grille, sharper headlamps and maintain its crossover SUV-like appearance. The new-generation Spring that will be launched in the UK on 21st February will feature notable design and technical enhancements.
Renault Kwid EV Specs
The 2024 Dacia Spring EV will be built on the CMF-AEV platform, Renault-Nissan’s affordable platform, aiming for weight reduction and incorporating new technologies. The platform will accommodate range- and performance-enhancing batteries and motors. The electric vehicle’s interior will see updates, including a refreshed dashboard and a new steering wheel with a similar infotainment screen as the new Dacia Duster.
Renault KWID EV India Launch
Renault India MD Venkatram Mamillapalle previously discussed the possibility of an entry-level EV for India, possibly the Kwid EV, but the launch timeline remains uncertain.
