MG has designed the M9 to make a statement. At 5,270 mm long, 2,000 mm wide, and 1,840 mm tall, with a 3,200 mm wheelbase, the M9 overshadows rivals like the Kia Carnival and Toyota Vellfire. It flaunts a bold front fascia with connected LED DRLs, clean lines along its side profile, and sharp LED tail lamps. A roof-mounted spoiler with an integrated brake light and expansive glass areas give the M9 a strong, limousine-like presence.

Interior

MG equips the M9 with a plush interior that redefines backseat luxury. Customers can choose between 6-, 7-, or 8-seater configurations, with the 6-seater offering presidential-style second-row seats. These seats feature 16-way adjustability, ventilation, heating, massaging functions, and fold-out ottomans.

Performance and Range

The MG M9 runs on a 90kWh lithium-ion battery that powers a 245hp electric motor producing 350Nm of torque. This front-wheel-drive MPV offers a WLTP range of 430 km, making it ideal for long road trips. MG supports fast charging, letting users juice the battery from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes, reducing downtime significantly.

Safety and Tech

MG loads the M9 with top-tier safety features. The MPV includes Level 2 ADAS, seven airbags, electronic stability control, tire pressure monitoring, and a 360-degree camera. Features like power-sliding rear doors, 3-zone climate control, auto hold, and front and rear parking sensors ensure convenience and safety in every drive.

What’s Next

MG first revealed the M9 at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 and has since positioned it as a flagship product in its electric lineup. With deliveries around the corner, MG aims to attract luxury EV buyers who want spacious interiors, advanced features, and zero emissions in one sleek package. The M9 will compete with the Kia EV9, Toyota Vellfire, and Lexus LM, but MG looks set to carve its path in India’s premium electric MPV segment.
