The long-awaited Volkswagen Golf GTI is finally heading to Indian shores, marking the return of a GTI badge after the Polo GTI. Armed with a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine delivering 265 PS and 370 Nm, this hot hatch promises serious thrills. It boasts a 0-100 kmph sprint time of just 5.9 seconds, thanks to its 7-speed DSG automatic transmission.

Engineered for sharp handling and spirited performance, the Golf GTI will be offered as a fully loaded CBU (entirely built unit) in four color options. With its blend of performance and practicality, this one’s bound to turn heads and quicken pulses.

MG Windsor EV Pro: More Range, More Tech

  • Expected Launch: May 2025
  • Expected Price: ₹11.5 lakh + battery rental / ₹15.5 lakh outright
MG Windsor EV Pro

MG is stepping up its electric game with the Windsor EV Pro, which now gets a bigger 50.6 kWh battery pack—up from the current 38 kWh unit. The power output remains unchanged at 134 bhp and 200 Nm, but the range jumps significantly to 460 km (CLTC) compared to the earlier 331 km (MIDC).

Besides the extended range, the updated Windsor will likely include new features such as ADAS, which were previously absent. As MG continues popularizing the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, the Windsor EV is poised to attract more value-conscious urban commuters looking for clean, long-range mobility.

Tata Altroz Facelift: Fresh Face, Familiar Power

  • Expected Launch: May 21, 2025
  • Expected Price: ₹6.75 lakh onwards
Tata Altroz 2025

The Tata Altroz is getting its first proper facelift since its debut in 2020. Competing with the Maruti Baleno, Toyota Glanza, and Hyundai i20, the refreshed Altroz features revised bumpers, a new grille, flush door handles, and LED headlamps. Spy shots also hint at new alloy designs and updated upholstery.

While the outside gets a minor makeover, the inside is expected to sport a refreshed steering wheel and interior trim with some feature upgrades. The Altroz continues to lead the segment in powertrain diversity, retaining its NA petrol, turbo-petrol, diesel, and CNG options across manual and automatic transmissions.

Kia Carens Facelift (Clavis): MPV Meets SUV Vibe

  • Debut: May 8, 2025
  • Expected Price: ₹11 lakh onwards (Launch in June)
Kia Clavis

Kia’s upcoming Carens facelift, now expected to be launched under a new name — Clavis — aims to blur the lines between MPV practicality and SUV styling. The updated model features new bumpers, LED light bars, and reworked alloy wheels, giving it a bolder stance. Expect a panoramic sunroof, ventilated second-row seats, level-2 ADAS, and a redesigned dashboard with 12.3-inch displays borrowed from the Kia Syros.

Under the hood, the Clavis will likely retain the tried-and-tested 1.5-litre petrol, turbo-petrol, and diesel engine options paired with manual and automatic gearboxes. Interestingly, the existing Carens will continue to be sold alongside this new variant.
