The Tata Curvv will be available in EV (Electric Vehicle) and ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) versions. Tata had confirmed in the investor meeting that the Curvv EV is slated for launch between July and September 2024. While ICE option is slated to follow three to four months later.

The EV variant is set to debut in the second quarter of FY2025, between July to September 2024. Following the Curvv EV launch, the diesel-powered version will be launched within three to four months. The ICE variant will be followed by the Harrier EV.
Features
Based on the Nexon platform, the Curvv exhibits Tata’s signature design with a split-LED headlamp setup, gloss-black cladding, and a distinct coupe-like roofline. The interior, shared with the Nexon, features a familiar dashboard design, a four-spoke illuminated steering wheel, and a 10.25-inch screen for instrument clusters. Unique switchgear and additional features are expected in the EV variant.
The Curvv features a coupe-SUV design with LED DRLs, and the ICE version includes a chequered grille. The interiors showcase a simple yet practical approach with features such as a two-spoke steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, and a powered tailgate.
Powertrain
Powertrain options include a new 125hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine and a diesel option with the Nexon’s 1.5-litre, four-cylinder unit. The EV will utilize Tata’s Gen 2 acti.ev architecture with an estimated 450-500 km range.
Specifications for the Curvv have not been officially revealed, but the EV variant is expected to come with a 50kWh or 60kWh battery pack and a new gen-2 motor. The diesel option will feature the 1.5-litre diesel from the Nexon, and petrol options may include a 1.2-litre turbo and a 1.5-litre turbo with a potential CNG option.
Pricing
Pricing for the Curvv ICE is expected to be similar to other C-SUV rivals, ranging from Rs 11 lakh to Rs 22 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). The EV version may start from Rs 20 Lakh onwards.
Competitors
The Tata Curvv SUV coupe will enter the midsize SUV segment with competitors like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun.
