Mahindra Thar EV Based Concept Vision T Teased! Launching 15th August

Mahindra has officially teased the upcoming Vision.T concept SUV, set for a grand unveiling on August 15, 2025, in Mumbai. This new concept marks the next evolutionary step following the Thar.e electric SUV, which made its debut in 2023. The teaser reveals a rugged and boxy silhouette, maintaining the off-road DNA of the Thar.e while hinting at a more refined and futuristic design.

The original Thar.e concept was Mahindra’s bold take on electrifying its iconic off-roader, transitioning from the traditional three-door format to a more family-friendly five-door layout. Built on the INGLO P1 platform, it showcased Mahindra’s intent to blend off-road capabilities with a clean electric future. The Vision.T is expected to build upon this direction, possibly previewing the next generation of Mahindra’s electric SUV lineup.

The Vision.T will be unveiled during the Freedom_NU event, Mahindra’s annual Independence Day showcase, which will also feature at least four additional concept vehicles and an all-new platform. Both EVs and ICE-powered models are anticipated, signaling Mahindra’s dual-track strategy to meet diverse consumer demands. Among the expected reveals are likely updates to models such as the next-gen Bolero and potential electric variants based on the XUV 3XO and XUV.e8 platforms.

While detailed specifications remain under wraps, the teaser suggests that the Vision.T will carry forward Mahindra’s off-road design cues, possibly with even more aggressive styling and capability enhancements. Mahindra could adopt a monocoque architecture or retain a rugged ladder-frame structure, depending on its performance goals and drivetrain strategy. The final format will be key in positioning the Vision.T either as a true electric off-roader or as a more versatile lifestyle SUV.

This reveal comes amid a broader product overhaul by Mahindra, including facelifts for the XUV700, updates to the three-door Thar, and the impending launch of the Scorpio N Pickup, slated for 2026. With the Vision.T, Mahindra is not just previewing a concept but likely laying the foundation for its future in electrified off-road mobility.
