Kia India has revealed the 2025 Carens Clavis, their second mass-market MPV that will be sold alongside the existing Carens. This new offering stands out with more features and modern styling. The Clavis will be available in seven broad variants: HTE, HTE (O), HTK, HTK Plus, HTK Plus (O), HTX, and HTX Plus. Below is a comprehensive variant-wise breakdown of features, followed by a summary of engine and transmission options.

Variant-Wise Features
HTE
This is the base variant, but it still packs several essential features, especially regarding safety. It includes six airbags, electronic stability control, ISOFIX child seat mounts, a tyre pressure monitoring system, rear parking sensors, disc brakes on all wheels, hill start assist, and hill descent control.
On the exterior, it gets halogen headlamps, a roof-mounted spoiler, and skid plates at the front and rear. Depending on the engine option, it features 16-inch steel wheels (diesel) or 15-inch black alloy wheels (for naturally aspirated petrol). The interior is finished in a dual-tone black and beige theme with semi-leatherette seat upholstery and split-folding rear seats.
Comfort features include keyless entry, manual height adjustment for the driver seat, tilt-adjustable steering, and powered windows for front and second rows. There is no infotainment system, but it includes a semi-digital instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch multi-information display.
HTE (O)
The HTE (O) variant builds on the HTE by adding an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 6-speaker sound system, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also includes a shark fin antenna, electrically adjustable ORVMs with turn indicators, and a rear parking camera. Steering-mounted audio controls are added for convenience.
HTK
The HTK variant introduces more exterior and comfort upgrades. It adds LED daytime running lights (DRLs), roof rails, and front parking sensors. The interior receives a black metallic dashboard trim and additional seatback storage pockets. Comfort features include automatic air conditioning and a one-touch up/down driver-side window. There are no new infotainment or safety upgrades over the HTE (O) variant.
HTK Plus
Over the HTK, the HTK Plus adds connected LED tail lights, a rear wiper and washer, and more tech-focused features. This variant includes push-button start/stop, cruise control, remote engine start, and drive modes for automatic variants. The ORVMs are now electrically folding and adjustable. A rear defogger and electronic parking brake with auto-hold (for automatic variants only) also appear.
HTK Plus (O)
The HTK Plus (O) introduces premium touches such as 17-inch alloy wheels, a wireless phone charger, and a single-pane sunroof (offered only with turbo-petrol and diesel variants). These additions make this variant an appealing mid-range option for buyers seeking enhanced style and comfort.
HTX
The HTX variant marks a significant step-up in both technology and luxury. It includes LED headlamps, black door garnish with metallic inserts, and dual-tone navy blue and beige cabin with leatherette upholstery. The infotainment system is upgraded to a 12.3-inch touchscreen with connected car technology and a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display. Other features include 64-color ambient lighting, retractable seatback tables, tilt and telescopic steering adjustment, and panoramic or single-pane sunroofs (based on engine type). A 360-degree camera, blind spot monitor, and a dual-camera dashcam enhance safety further.
HTX Plus
The top-spec HTX Plus offers the most advanced features in the Carens Clavis lineup. It replaces the second-row bench with captain seats for six-seater variants, introduces ventilated front seats, and a four-way electrically adjustable driver seat. Paddle shifters are added for automatic variants, and convenience features include rain-sensing wipers. The HTX Plus also has an 8-speaker premium Bose sound system and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), including adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and forward collision avoidance.
