Mahindra & Mahindra has introduced the Bold Editions of its long-standing utility vehicles—the Bolero and Bolero Neo. These editions focus on cosmetic enhancements, with no mechanical changes under the hood. The move is seen as an effort to refresh interest in the models ahead of the next-generation Bolero expected in 2025.
Bolero Bold Edition

The Bolero Bold Edition retains the same 1.5-litre diesel engine, producing 76 hp and 210 N · m of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The updates are limited to the exterior and interior aesthetics.
Key highlights include:
- Front design: A blacked-out grille with grey vertical slats, complemented by chrome accents around the headlamps and fog lamps.
- Exterior graphics: Contrasting black bumper inserts and yellow decals contrast with the Diamond White paint finish.
- Badging and trims: ‘Bold Edition’ badges and new door decals distinguish the variant from the standard model.
- Rear styling: Updated clear-lens tail lamps complete the look.
On the inside, the Bold Edition features an all-black theme with black upholstery and a leatherette-wrapped steering wheel, while retaining the practical layout associated with the Bolero.
Bolero Neo Bold Edition

The Bold Edition of the Bolero Neo builds on the vehicle’s positioning as a more urban-friendly SUV. It continues to use the 1.5-litre mHawk diesel engine delivering 100 hp and 260 N · m, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Design changes include:
- Front fascia: A dark chrome grille with gunmetal vertical slats and chrome inserts around the fog lamps.
- Side and rear enhancements include black roof rails, a distinctive ‘Bold Edition’ fender badge, and a dark-themed spare wheel cover.
- Interior updates: Black PU leather seat covers, dark chrome-finished rear AC vents, and comfort additions like neck pillows and seatbelt covers.
- Infotainment: A 7-inch touchscreen with rear-view camera functionality is also offered.
Pricing and Availability
Mahindra has not yet disclosed pricing details for the Bold Editions. However, a slight premium over the existing top-spec trims is anticipated. Currently, the Bolero is priced between ₹9.81 lakh and ₹10.93 lakh, while the Bolero Neo ranges from ₹9.97 lakh to ₹12.18 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).
Future Plans
The launch of the Bold Editions comes ahead of Mahindra’s plans to introduce a new-generation Bolero based on its New Flexible Architecture (NFA) platform. The next-gen model is expected to debut on 15th August 2025. Additionally, an electric version of the Bolero is reportedly under development, aligning with the company’s broader EV ambitions.
