The Hyundai Creta Electric will be available with two battery pack choices: 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh. The 42 kWh version offers a claimed driving range of 390 km, while the 51.4 kWh long-range version can cover up to 473 km on a single charge.

Charging and Performance

For charging, the Creta Electric can reach 10-80% in just 58 minutes with a fast DC charger. With a standard 11 kW wall box charger, it takes about four hours to fully charge from 0%. In terms of performance, the Creta Electric can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds.

Variants and Colors

The Creta Electric will be available in four variants and ten color options, offering plenty of choices for potential buyers.

Design and Features

While the front fascia of both versions of the Creta differs, with the Creta Electric featuring a pixelated-pattern grille and updated bumper with active air flaps, the overall design is similar. The regular Creta has a larger, blacked-out rectangular grille, and the Creta Electric includes a charging flap with the Hyundai logo. The electric version’s front also shares design cues with the Creta N Line.

Both models come with inverted L-shaped connected LED DRLs and headlight housings, as well as an ADAS radar module on the lower bumper.

Side Profile

From the side, the Creta Electric closely mirrors its ICE counterpart, with identical silhouettes and window lines. The electric version does, however, feature a blacked-out roof, pillars, and ORVMs. Both versions are equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, though the Creta Electric wheels are aerodynamically designed for better efficiency. Additionally, the electric model comes with low-rolling resistance tires, enhancing battery efficiency.

Rear Design

At the rear, the two versions are almost identical, featuring inverted L-shaped connected LED tail lights. However, the Creta Electric has a slightly modified rear bumper. Both SUVs also share a silver skid plate on the bumper.

Interior

Inside, both the Creta Electric and regular Creta offer a dual-tone black and white cabin and a dual-screen dashboard setup. However, the Creta Electric features a new 3-spoke steering wheel, inspired by the Hyundai Ioniq 5, along with a revised center console and electric-specific controls. Like the Ioniq 5, the Creta Electric also comes with a steering column-mounted gear shifter. Both versions come with a panoramic sunroof, and the Creta Electric offers V2L (vehicle-to-load) functionality, allowing users to power external devices using the car’s battery.

Battery and Range

The Creta Electric comes with two battery pack options:

  • 42 kWh (Medium Range)
  • 51.4 kWh (Long Range)

Range (ARAI-Claimed):

  • 390 km (42 kWh)
  • 473 km (51.4 kWh)

The Creta Electric’s battery can be charged from 10-80% in 58 minutes with a DC fast charger, and the 11 kW AC charger can fully charge the battery in approximately 4 hours.

Price and Competitors

The Hyundai Creta Electric is expected to be priced from around Rs 20 lakh, while the regular Hyundai Creta is priced between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 20.3 lakh.
